CONI GOLD STAR FOR "DAUNO" FENCING CLUB

Great satisfaction for "Dauno" Fencing Club, the association organizing the Cadets and Junior European Fencing Championship in Foggia from 22 February to 3 March 2019. During the Sport Gala, organized by Coni Puglia Regional Committee, the "Dauno" Club was honoured with the Gold Star for sport value, on the proposal of CONI President Giovanni Malagò, because of its continue work in spreading fencing sport over the territory and for achieving national and international prestigious awards. The Regional Committee President, Matteo Starace, assigned the award to "Dauno" Fencing Club President, Antonio Tanzi.

During the event, at Sala Multifunzionale in Bari Aeronautical Headquarter, many other awards have been assigned to apulian fencing protagonists: Silver Star to Luigi Roca, many times Olympic referee and actually FIE Discipline Commission member; Bronze Star to vice President FIS Regional Committee Roberto Lippolis and San Severo Fencing Club Manager Beniamino Pascale; bronze medal for sport value to Francesco D'Armiento, Dauno Fencing Club athlete and winner of the European Club with Fiamme Gialle in 2018; Bronze Palm for technical value to the Trainer Benedetto Buenza.

Among the authorities attending the event: Angelo Gilberto, Coni Puglia Regional Committee President and Renato Martino, Local Organizing Committee President for Foggia 2019 - Cadets and Junior European Fencing Championship.
